The department of EIE was established in the year 2003. This department emphasizes to create technical professionals who are keen to take engineering responsibilities with a vast knowledge of entire process, medical instrumentation and power plants – a specialization that has grown leaps and bounds in the recent years. The department is equipped with state of the art laboratories to impart technical skill to the students to make them proficient engineers. The department also encourages students to engage in different extra-curricular & co-curricular activities to develop personal & professional ethics and management

USP of the Department:

Instrumentation engineers work for industries with automated processes, such as chemical or manufacturing plants, with the goal of improving system productivity, reliability, safety, optimization and stability. They find jobs in various sectors including R&D units of public and private sector companies, heavy industries such as thermal power stations, steel plants, refineries, cement and fertilizer plants etc. like DRDO, ISRO, NTPC, DVC, SAIL, TATA Steel, Jindal Group of Industries, GAIL, IOCL, HPCL, BHEL, WBTCL. They have a multidisciplinary role to play. One may choose to move sideways into other areas like Software (IBM, Infosys, TCS, CTS Capgemini etc), Banking (SBI, UBI etc.), Education (Different degree & Diploma Engineering Institutions), Biomedical Instrumentation etc. Biomedical Engineering under EIE Dept. has excellent job prospects as demand for sophisticated medical devices has been increasing. This branch also deals with developing and manufacturing medical equipment, diagnostic devices.

The Vision of the department is to create Electronics & Instrumentation engineers with outstanding technical competency acceptable worldwide to impart research aptitude for societal benefit.

  • To provide high quality Technical education and Training in response to the changing needs of industries and Society through an innovative learning process related to Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering.
  • To develop employable and competent Electronics and Instrumentation engineers with high academic credentials and to inspire them to take up higher studies and research.
  • To contribute towards the betterment of society by imparting practical skills and technical knowledge to the students.

  1. • PEO1: Graduates of AEIE program will be able to incorporate their knowledge to excel in professional career and also use the fundamental knowledge to enhance the power of invention, innovation & entrepreneurship.
  2. PEO2: Graduates of AEIE program will have strong foundation in mathematical, scientific and engineering fundamentals necessary to formulate, solve and analyze engineering problems related to industry and research through lifelong learning.
  3. PEO3: Graduates of AEIE program will be able to inculcate the professional and ethical code of conduct, communication skills, and team work so as to use technology for the progress to the society.

  • Workshop with collaboration of Variable Energy Cyclotron Center, Salt Lake (Atomic Energy under India Government) Organized by the department bi-Annually.

  • Under Institute Social Responsibilities different awareness program for School teachers & Students are frequently organized by the department.
  • Organized technical skill development and GATE classes with mock test for pre-final year students and classes continue up to GATE Examination (during Jan-Feb month in every year).
