Executive Summary

The department of Electrical Engineering, Guru Nanak Institute of Technology, has started its auspicious academic journey, under West Bengal University of Technology, presently, MAKAUT-West Bengal, from the year 2003. The department got NBA in 2009 and then again in 2014 for its excellent performance in the arena of technical education. The department has well-equipped Laboratories, qualified and experienced faculty members and Technical Staff to educate and train the budding engineers in the areas of Electrical Engineering, applied sciences and humanities, along with training courses on soft skills and aptitude, ensuring high campus placements and admissions into Institutes of higher learning and research.

Courses Offered:

4-years’ B.Tech (Electrical Engineering) from Autonomous Institution GNIT, Affiliated to MAKAUT, West Bengal, and Diploma (Electrical Engineering) under West Bengal State Council of Technical Education

Course Objective:

The program runs with a vision to prepare a human group who will be properly trained to serve the society towards attaining its self sufficiency in power sector and distributing the benefit irrespective of cast, creed or religion.

    The electrical engineering department of Gurunanak Institute of technology, Panihat, Kolkata, is not just a well recognized and a reputable department, amongst the other disciplinary departments of the esteemed institute, but also one of finest department of the institute. The department has the finest faculties who instill me with clear conception and knowledge about the disciplinary subjects. The respected faculties of the department not only impart me with knowledge but also help me develop my innovative technical ideas and projects. The department conducts the best laboratory classes with finest instruments that help me develop my theoretical conceptions more about the technical concepts.
